OK, right up front I admit this is considered "trash" but Sidney Sheldon's
The Other Side of Midnight is a book I will never forget. The ending blew
me away. He is such a good writer and I was glued to the pages of
this book. Other authors who entertained me with many many books
are Harold Robbins, Jeffrey Archer, Pat Conroy Irwin Shaw, not to
mention Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and the incomparable Victoria
Holt. All of these writers had the ability to bring their characters
alive for me and make me forget everything but the page in front of me.
I'm fixing to do a reread of The Secret Woman by Victoria Holt for an
online group. This will be my third time to read it. Only a fantastic
book could tear me away from all my unread books for a reread.
FWIW, I'm bouncing all over the place and not receiving much
Yahoo mail. I'll try to keep up on the web page.
I'm getting ready to immerse myself in another book by an author
who always delivers. I can't wait!
