Not only ARR but almost every singer from other parts of country also commit these blunders. I am recently touched by a song , sung by Kunal Ganjawala for the film BABUL . The song is excellent other wise. he sung the song beautifully but he messed-up the song in the last by saying Gh- umnamiyan bhi Dedo ( it should have been GumNaamiyan Bhi Dedo) or Hansi not Haseen and here the whole couplet becomes meaningless for Haseen instead of Hansi. Senior artists such as Lata Mangeshkar, Kavita krishnamurthy ,Kishore Kumar , Mukesh, learned urdu diction or they check their lines thoroughly before recording of the song. Music directors such as Madan Mohan , Salil chaudhry, OP Nayyar, or even LP used to have Urdu literate people in their teams to make sure of proper diction. Naushad , Khayyam had an advantage of coming from Urdu speaking backgrounds. some actors also have urdu teachers taking care of their diction.
