If I attempt to add another new char field to the test form, it won't save, complaining of a unique index being violated. If I increment the nextid in Oracle, the new field then saves. So, I attempt to change xxxxxxxx5 to xxxxxxxx6, but it fails (after the failure, nextid in oracle still shows xxxxxxxx6). But, if I attempt to add a new field to the form, that fails. If I increment nextid to xxxxxxxx7, the new field then saves. Regardless, archgid fails. I always get the error "...**** Field does not exist on current form (ARERR 314)...", but at the end of the process "...Successful update of data dictionary..." Fred, I'm using the prompt-driven method on 5.1 archgid. One thing that just came to mind: I inherited this app, and a peculiarity is that multiple ARS servers (there are 3) are stored as different schemas in Oracle, not different instances.
