Hi Brent,

I've been toying with this as well, but don't yet have this working as well as
I'd like. I've had two big issues, and many smaller ones.

The first big issue was that the Pocket PC needed a HOSTS entry for the short
DNS name of the Mid-Tier Server. I was able to create this using Pocket
Hosts. I'm sure there's a better way to do this once we move to production,
through a registry push or something similar, but have not yet got to a point
where I've investigated that.

The second big issue are the limitations for Pocket Internet Explorer's (PIE's)
HTML and scripting support. Here is a good overview of these:
http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/UploadFile/rgirish/PDAPocketPCCom12012005015654AM/PDAPocketPCCom.aspx?ArticleID=53221e34-b707-4ad0-b88d-dbcdb7d9ead5.
Understanding these limitations, it is possible to get most things to work by
providing a stripped down interface, and relying on Filters instead of Active
Links as often as possible.

One other thing that helps a lot under PIE is to make sure the screens all
render with a small enough size, that PIE does not try to fit them, but uses
the resolution supplied by Mid-Tier. It will work without this, but it is ugly.

Subject: Re: Palm PC with Remedy

I have just gotten a Pocket pc (Dell Axim) and am also trying to get it
set up to access Remedy vis our wireless network to have our field techs
enter or update tickets in the field. Our wireless access is excellent,
but I can't seen to get Remedy screens to function properly on the
device. Some of the clickable links on the forms don't work. What do I
need to do to get the functionality we need? Tips? hints? helps?
Thanks in advance for any and all support.
