First thing to do is get enrolled in the classes that bmc offers for Remedy stuff. Regardless of that, build an application using the arsystem and make it do something useful - nothing complicated, just dive in and get your feet wet. Try something like an admin console that will allow you to see how tables, views, AL's filters.... all work together. Best way to learn this stuff quickly.
