Update...

It appears that the ServiceDesk/etc release notes are available via 
supportweb -- but you have to go to the 7.00.00 section to download them. 
If you are using the "My Products" list this version will not show.  Use 
the A-Z list instead.  They don't exist under 7.00.01.

25-Oct-2006 Provides information to install and use the BMC Remedy Service 
Desk 7.0 application. Includes patch 002 information, open issues, and 
possible solutions to those issues in Service Desk.

Sorry...  is this 7.0.1 release just 7.0.0 with instructions to apply 
patch2?  The whole reason I wanted 7.0.1 is to avoid applying the 
patches...

Two words:  Quality.  Control.  Granted, this is a minor issue in and of 
itself, but it is far from an isolated incident.  There's either a problem 
with the processes they're using, or the people using them.  Or both.

It appears that BMC / Remedy has been busy this past weekend and released
ITSM 7.0.01 and CMDB 2.0.01.  You can find the new releases in the Product 

Downloads, Patches, and Fixes > BMC Remedy Product Download section of
SupportWeb.

I did notice that only the 7.0.00 docs were included with the download of
ITSM 7.0.01 (the CMDB 2.0.01 downloads were fine).  Was the ITSM update 
released early by mistake, since Dave from BMC sorta indicated it wouldn't
be until the end of this week?  It is odd to release software with the
incorrect documentation versions, right??
