Re: ITSM 7.0.01 and CMDB 2.0.01 Released

Can you address the issue with the still missing ITSM 7.0.01 Release Notes (or any other 7.0.01 version docs) in both the download and documentation sections?

 

Also, I noticed that the 'SLM (Solaris)' file that gets downloaded from the SLM 7.0.01 download page says "slm700.solaris.tar.gz" but the 'AR System Integrations for SLM' file is "arintegrationslm701.solaris.tar.gz ".  Why the difference is the versions on the SLM components?  Does this mean the patches for the other ITSM apps were rolled up in their 7.0.01 releases but not in the SLM app (except for the integrations piece) and you still need to be apply the SLM 7.0.00 patches going forward?

The implementation of that future direction is still being worked out.   A formal statement of direction is still under development and will be released to better explain the circumstances where and when EIE, RemedyLink for Oracle (RLO) and RemedyLink for SQL (RLS) are released as part of another packaged product.

By the way, our internal release folks pulled a rabbit out of their hat(s) and released CMDB 2.0.01 inside of ITSM 7.0.01, so they will not be out of synch as originally expected.

Wasn't a mistake - I had said "by end of this week" to give enough wiggle room during the release process.  It had been scheduled to release on Monday.

It appears that BMC / Remedy has been busy this past weekend and released ITSM 7.0.01 and CMDB 2.0.01.  You can find the new releases in the Product Downloads, Patches, and Fixes > BMC Remedy Product Download section of SupportWeb.

 

I did notice that only the 7.0.00 docs were included with the download of ITSM 7.0.01 (the CMDB 2.0.01 downloads were fine).  Was the ITSM update released early by mistake, since Dave from BMC sorta indicated it wouldn't be until the end of this week?  It is odd to release software with the incorrect documentation versions, right??
