Stephen, One method (don't know if it's the fastest, but it works reliably) is: - install 6.3 on the new server - create a dump of your current server... transportable table space is fastest, I believe - import that dump/TTS to new database system, overwriting the current aradmin tablespace - validate the aradmin user permissions on the updated database - start the remedy service and test it on the new system (6.3 still) - once satisfied that the db migration is successful, upgrade to 7.0.x
I've used that same methodology many times (probably have notes stuck away somewhere) with no issues. Good luck! Current platform: Oracle 9.2 Solaris 9 ARS 6.3 patch 18 New platform: Oracle 10gR2 Solaris 9 ARS 7.0.1 Comments and suggestions greatfully recieved.
