Hi Misi, I did follow the exact process steps B you have mentioned for upgrade of my custom app from 7.1 to 8.1 Using RRRchive was probably the best decision as it was able to migrate data which even AR Migrator was could not do for certain forms. Also DDM is compatible 7.6.04 onwards only.
Now I am thinking about upgrading from 8.1 to 9.0 and thinking of following A. A - upgrade 1. Copy your prod db 2. Install/Upgrade the DB-copy using the Remedy installer 3. Use DDM or RRR|Chive to copy delta data when you switch your users to the new server Is the point number 2 referring to getting a copy of db and then running the installer in install/upgrade (what is diff in install and upgrade mode?) mode on the copy db. Do we have to give the same db details (name, port, schema, uname, SID/service name) like in the prod or it may vary?
