What is the version of the Oracle client (emphasis on client)? I know there
were some issues using older versions of the Oracle client (memory leaks).
What is the memory utilization by arserverd at the time the process
crashes? Is it reaching 4gb? Remedy is a 32-bit app, so it can only
address 4gb of memory; if it attempts to exceed that, it crashes.

Recently we have upgraded our Remedy ARS from 6.0.1 to 6.3 patch 14.

Our ARS server process will randomly crashed for unknown reason.

Our Oracle database is 9.2.0.5C.
HP Unix server. HP-UX B.11.11 U 9000/800 (tb)
There are 5 applications running on this server including Remedy ARS

We then upgraded our memory from 2GB to 10GB to address this issue as we
thought there might be performance issue on the server due to lack of
memory. But it did not fix this problem. Also I can see the free memory
ran out very quickly.

I have been checking on ARSLIST and found out that there could be Oracle
issue when Oracle that is at lower version than 9.2.0.4.
But our Oracle database is 9.2.0.5C.

Anyone got any ideas, please advice. This has became a very serious issues
for us. Thank you
