Vytek was purchased by CalAmp. TelALert is still available and an excellent product for sending messages by TAP, SNPP, SMPP, SMTP and others if the provider has provisions for the standard messaging protocols.

The will be able to see what they are getting from you and what happens to it. I used to call the paging providers regularly. Back when we just had pagers. You may need to insist on getting a true tech/support person if the person answering the phone can not answer your question. There are some very good 3rd party software that will pass the paging stuff for you too. I have had a great deal of success with Telalert which is now Vytek or something like that. Also check with your e-mail person to ensure that the message is leaving your domain. It will say sent in the Remedy e-mail message but may not go out. There are some good articles on SNPP out there.
