I might be wrong, but my understanding is that portmapper is used to tell the client what port is being used. So even though you're specifying a specific port, you can register with portmapper and it should work. Maybe someone more knowledgable on portmapper can add their thoughts on this.

We need to set the port because we have everything running through a Load Balancer where setting ports is a requirment.
