Or better yet....leave it set to use port mapper....AND set it to
1834...that way tools that can use port mapper don't need to specify the
port....and those that can't....know where to find it

I'm not sure where the problem is?
Lets say the API HAS to use port 1834, se the load balancer to send port
1834 to your ARServer, set your ARServer to not use portmapper and to listen
on port 1834 and you should be good to go.

The problem with that is the custom tool we are connecting with does not
allow you to set a port, and further more the Load Balancer has a specific
port set

Set a specific TCP port on the ARServer, that way you know exactly what port
to open.

What port range does portmapper use?

**
Having an issue with a custom built API app that doesn't allow you to set a
port. We need to set the port because we have everything running through a
Load Balancer where setting ports is a requirment. They will let us turn on
a range of ports but I do not know what range of ports portmapper uses.does
anyone have an idea of the range?

Thanks
