I don't know the range, perhaps someone can give that information, but meanwhile, try setting a specific port and registering with port mapper. I'm thinking that your load balancer will see Remedy on the specified port, pass it through as it should and port mapper will report the port to the API. You are no worse off than you were before it doesn't work.

But we are hitting a load balancer first which doesn?t have portmapper?and we need to hit the load balancer first that is why I am looking for a range of ports that portmapper uses so I can open them on the load balancer From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ben Cantatore Sent: Friday, January 26, 2007 6:01 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: What port range does portmapper use? ** I might be wrong, but my understanding is that portmapper is used to tell the client what port is being used. So even though you're specifying a specific port, you can register with portmapper and it should work. Maybe someone more knowledgable on portmapper can add their thoughts on this. We need to set the port because we have everything running through a Load Balancer where setting ports is a requirment. They will let us turn on a range of ports but I do not know what range of ports portmapper uses?does anyone have an idea of the range? Thanks Alexander P.
