** Any permissions you added to any of these forms will also be wiped out...We did the same install and had to re-import the Group, User, Hompage (cause we have our own graphic), and the AR System email messages - added permissions.
Hope this helps! -----Original Message----- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Lucero, Michelle - IST contractor Sent: Monday, February 05, 2007 11:32 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: ARS 6.3 Patch 20 Install Hi, Claire: Besides a visual check of the User, Group and FB forms, I compared them between Dev and Production at the SQL level. I checked the numFields and nextFieldId. They still match. So at the very least no new fields were added. And yes, a customization was lost. We increased the size of the FB:Variable.Query field from 255 to 1000. The upgrade reverted it back to 255. So, I do suggest that you export any core form where customizations were made and reimport them back after the upgrade. I will report anything else I might find. Good Luck to You. Did you have any customizations on the forms that were changed and were your customizations changed/obliterated? I assume we could've upgraded (AR Server, Email, Flashboards) as well. We used the installer files amid much controversy of the incomplete files listed in the FTP directory. ***************************NOTE****************************** Pay close attention to the readme file for Email, especially if you are on Windows 2003. The "tip" for the Windows 2003 users is the last step in the instructions. We have a support ticket with BMC on some questions regarding the install but they have not been forthcoming on answering our questions fully. Has anyone who has installed Patch 20 on a Windows 2003 server (AR Server) and/or a Linux server for Mid Tier 6.3 have any advice on the installation order? (like is it ARServer first, then Flashboards, Email etc.). We are not concerned with User, Admin, and Alerter for this patch. We also are looking to find out what forms will be modified as a result of the Patch 20 installer. Any help you can offer is appreciated!
