I have tested a little and I do not see any obvious problems. It still
makes me a little uneasy. I believe I will wind up just mirroring the
production server and go from there.

I use this server to test new features, then export the def files and
import to the production server. So I usually start by exporting from
the production server then importing to the backup server before
starting to be sure I have everything synched before I make changes.

Very strange.

I misread your original post.. I thought you were importing data.. sorry
about that...

That's strange that you should get an error complaining about indexes
while
importing a def file.. usually you get that error when you create
indexes
using the admin tool if you define an index on the same field twice and
try
to save the form.. however the form does get saved successfully and it
ignores the duplicate index you create.. and everything is good..

Hopefully the same is the case with an import of a def file..

Have you tested all functionality especially with respect to indexes
after
importing the form?

Joe

I have tried importing the form only and no workflow and I still get the
errors. Would that eliminate a merge filter as a possibility?

Any Merge filters that might be pushing information into some other form
breaking a unique index?

Subject: Duplicate Indexes

I have started having a problem while trying to import def files
for a
particular form. I am now getting an error (ARRER 74) for duplicate
indexes
while trying to import a def file. It lists 4 fields and 3 of them are
core
fields (ID's 3, 4 and 7) and one created field. I do not believe
anything
has changed with the fields in question, but something is causing a
problem
now. Has anyone seen this before? Fortunately this is backup server that
has
the problem, but I would like to get it figured out.

        Thanks,
