Gary, Actually when the form is updated, then only things that reference that object (and the changes that can be made from that object) need to be "updated". Even if they only dropped all of those records and rebuilt them all.
If you delete a field and an active link use to point at that field.... Guess what... it still points at that field. :) The reference in the Active Link is still there and the sync DB should still show it. (IMHO) If you add a field... then there will not be any work flow connected to it yet. If you add/remove an index... If you add/remove a view... If you change the Results list... If you change a view property.... If you change a permission... If you rename an object... (see GGUID discussion in other part of the thread. :) I just see the set of things that can be changed about an object as finite and determinant completely by the object type and its direct contents. Now would it be nice to still have a big... "ok... throw it all away and start over" switch for cases where things get "out of sync"... sure... but that really should not be needed. :) If it is implemented correctly. (I am sure it is also "easier said than done". But that is why we pay BMC the big bucks for the cool software.) -- Carey Matthew Black Remedy Skilled Professional (RSP) ARS = Action Request System(Remedy) Love, then teach Solution = People + Process + Tools Fast, Accurate, Cheap....
