Niklas, While I agree with the others that there should not be a performance problem, I would strongly advise to modify the index of the Login Name field to be a unique index.
I have come across problems where there exists 2 or more records for the same user in the user form due to the absense of workflow on the User form to prevent duplicate Login Names. It happened to this customer during import of a set of users directly to the user form.. You haven't specified what version of the ARS.. One of the earlier viersio and the versions downward, didn't even have an index on the Login Name field - leave alone a unique index.. Make sure you have one.. ('Email Address', 'Password', 'Default Notify Mechanism', 'Group List', 'License Type', 'Full Text License Type', 'Login Name', etc...) Again... I believe that was due to slowness of my RDBMS and not necessarily due to ARS slowness. I however would also expect the RAM requirement for the ARS server and for some secondary subsystems (like the Email Engine) to increase too. Those components keep this data cached so they would be affected by such a growth in the data. And if you are still using a per v7 Mid-Tier then I think it would also be affected due to the way it caches objects based on 'Group List' combination too. (However, I have not tested it for performance or RAM growth. But that is my expectations.) -- Carey Matthew Black Remedy Skilled Professional (RSP) ARS = Action Request System(Remedy) Love, then teach Solution = People + Process + Tools Fast, Accurate, Cheap....
