Thanks for all the ideas so far. Yes I have recently deleted some no longer needed fields. I am having to do this upgrade in about 1/6 the time I have allotted for it. :-) Sorry for the slow reply, to add complications, we have been removed from our building for network and power upgrades. It could be that there is a menu that displays data FROM that form ON another form, and it's looking for a field that no longer exists. Or it could be that there is a problem with that menu related to the upgrade, which is a major jump in API functionality.
