I knew a guy who spent weeks trying to replicate it, and gave up finally. You 
could alternately use the APIs to attach files if you are writing a non-remedy 
front end.

Hi Listers, I have 2 quick questions.

I'd like to know what type of compression remedy uses to compress files that 
are attached. I believe these files are also encoded in base64... Question? Are 
attachments encoded before compression or the other way around?
