There is a system preference and it is on the form ctm:cfg:-ApplicationPreferences. If you want to look it up in the user form it is application preferences. Search for the system default record and you can change any application you have installed. It is on the left hand side of the screen called after new save under the form label. You can change it to reopen in current.
