SLES is actually Novell's SuSe Linux Enterprise Server, not Solaris. It is on the compatibility matrix, and there's a section for finding it in the ar_install script. Now maybe that script is broken, not sure. I manually ran a couple of the commands from the script and they appeared to run fine. On page 32 of "BMC Remedy Action Request 7.1.00 Installing" it says: On Linux/Solaris: LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/<ARServer_install_directory>/bin export LD_LIBRARY_PATH Problem is I don't find a bin directory under my arserver_install_directory, so I don't know what they are referring to. Just the same, I will look at the installation script and see if there's something similar going on in the SLES section that you mention for Solaris.
