Peter, Thanks for the email. The web service does seem to be correctly installed, but we have found that calling some methods causes Tomcat to hang up, and others just simply don't work. For testing, we're using the appadmin account just to see if it works, and that still doesn't seem to be working.
I'll see if we can get it to work some other way, and if not I'll post updated questions to the list. Since the web services use the CI instance id as the unique key I guess you need to issue a serial number query to return the instanceid and then update the name of the associated CI. I didn't have too much trouble getting the web services to work. As long as you have deployed the cmdb web services (they are not deployed when the CMDB is installed) it should work.
