Hi Jenni

Gregory says 'TR.FieldA' = $NULL$ This will miss cases where the field is
being changed TO null from a non-null value

Frank says 'TR.FieldA' = $NULL$ and 'DB.FieldA' != $NULL$ This will normally
work correctly. But if you have a push fields action pushing values to the
form, where the TR value is the same as the DB value and is non-null, this
will be incorrect.

Jenni says 'FieldA' = 'DB.FieldA' This will always give the expected
result.

You mentioned changed so I am thinking the database has an actual value but
the user is not changing the value

Subject: Filter qualification: verify a field value has NOT changed

Hi Listers,

I know this is elementary but my brain is chasing itself in circles today. I
need a qualification to ensure that a filter will only fire if a field value
has not changed. Will 'FieldA' = 'DB.FieldA' do it or am I missing
something?
