I think 'DB.FieldA' = 'FieldA' like you had should be sufficient unless you 
care if the value is actively being set to what it was before (e.g., they 
cleared the field but reselected/re-entered the same value, etc. - this also 
can happen during reconciliation in the CMDB), or if the value can be NULL.   
If the value can be NULL, then you might have to have something like this:

('DB.FieldA' = 'FieldA') OR ('DB.FieldA' = $NULL$ AND 'FieldA' = $NULL$)

Hi Listers,

I know this is elementary but my brain is chasing itself in circles today. I 
need a qualification to ensure that a filter will only fire if a field value 
has not changed. Will 'FieldA' = 'DB.FieldA' do it or am I missing something?
