Has anyone paid for the conference with a purchase request? The web site says you can do this. The problem I have is I need an invoice of some sort. Accounts Payable will not submit a PO without this. Thanks, Brian

I've been on the ARSLIST since 1993, and truthfully this has been my main professional source for all these years. Thank you all! These days I am more of a lurker than a responder, and that's probably because of the ARFUN (and AR-Overload) I'm having here at Orbitz Worldwide. My bad. :-( The point I wish to make here is that The WWRUG conference in Las Vegas is shaping up to be an amazing learning experience. If there are any training funds in your budget, this is the place. Anyone who has ever sat in a class conducted by Lenny Warren or watched Doug Mueller interact with customers and techies alike knows that the chance to see these two alone is well worth the price of admission. Further, with the ARSLIST and WWRUG as primary organizers of the conference, there will be more emphasis on programming these tools and a bit less on the sales side. You are not alone, Dilberts! Yes, a meeting of slide-rule toting geeks, nerds, dweebs, propeller-heads, brainiacs and others who have no life outside Remedy (it is possible that I do not speak for the entire group here) all focused on learning more about the art and science of elegant, kludgy, inefficient, lightning-fast, there's always at least two more ways to do it programming. This is the place to learn the tricks, rationale behind that funky syntax, the way to make a decent case statement, where the toolset is going and how it got here to begin with. You will have opportunities to speak with the people who actually built the tools you use to earn a living every day. I am sure there will be a few sales-types hanging around, but is that why the ARSLIST crowd is going? Not really! No matter how long you've been involved you will leave with a collection of new techniques and approaches you can use as soon as you get back, and you'll exchange ideas with people who are all "the remedy guy" at their respective companies. No, I don't get out much :-) But I will absolutely get to this meeting if I make no others this year, and I've sent in my own money to prove it. I strongly urge you to register, and to attend WWRUG09!
