Thanks, Joe. Maybe I picked up some bad info years ago, and am just now
discovering that it doesn't work.

Martin,

Unless I have missed something all these years, there is no way a user that
does not have an entry in the User form can have any sort of a 'write' license
be it Fixed or Floating. You cannot even grant that user a Read-Restricted
license, and the only license that a user automatically gets is a Read license
if he/she has no entry in the User form.

Dear List,
I am pretty sure we had our system set up to allocate a floating license to a
user who logged into the system without an entry in the User form. But now I
am finding that such users are getting a read-only license.
Am I mis-remembering, or is there a way to allow unregistered users to get
floating licenses? I can't find it in the documentation, but perhaps I just
haven't looked in the right place.
