That's weird, I just checked the 7.1 Compatibility matrix today and it says
that Firefox 2.0 and newer is supported.

Earlier versions of the Mid-Tier (I checked until 7.1 - all patches) had a
problem where the column names of table fields would not be displayed, rather
the column title bar would just be a solid blue block with no titles if Firefox
was used as a browser. I do remember trying to test this on 7.5, and do not
recall the results.. Does it work?? Do the column names display?

I had raised this as an issue with BMC and I was told that Firefox was not a
supported browser back then. I do not recall them having raised a software bug.

Also consider upgrading your Mid-Tier to 7.5 patch 4 and using Firefox instead
of IE

Tweaking the JVM Heap Size to an optimum size on the server running the
Mid-Tier is about the only major consideration apart from the fact that you may
have to also account for number of users that would be using the application
through the internet.. For a large user base you will need to consider a load
balanced solution, with an appropriate number of servers behind a load
balancer..
