That's strange, I thought 7.5 wasn't compatible with XP????

Kevin,
Not that this directly addresses your question....but I got 7.5 functional
on XP running SQL 2008 Express last year...so if you aren't stuck on
Oracle...SQL may work for you.

Its been rather a long while since I've posted here... :)

I am trying to install 7.5 on my Vista Home machine, but to date have been
frustratingly unsuccessfull! I have another XP laptop with dual v5 and
v6.3 installations on top of Oracle 9i, but as V7.5 isnt compatible with 10i
or XP am using my newer Vista laptop.

I opened a thread at BMC communities, had someone from BMC assist me for a
while and then, when all his suggestions failed, just seemed to lose
interest and never bothered responding further *smile, roll-eyes*

Here is the thread... >

I been through everything I can think of - from checking oracle
setup/tablespaces/aradmin user, listeners,etc..and still no go.

Hopefully, someone out there has been successfull using the same OS/DB/ARS
setup and can point me in the right direction!

Thanks in advance
