I have a requirement to be able to search for CIs with specific related records with a specific attribute value. For instance:
I create an RFC to upgrade all Windows 2003 servers to Service Pack 3. To do that, I need to identify which Windows Servers have a 2003 OS that is at SP 2 or below. The problem is that in ITSM 7.5, the server and the OS are stored in separate CMDB tables. How would I go about setting up a query (apart from creating a DB join) that would help me locate only the CIs appropriate to the issue the RFC is addressing? This would ideally be from the Change Management application, though we could use the Asset Management application if it were the only way.
