Good question. Yes, the AR Server is up. If it were not I wouldn't be worrying about the mid-tier :)

With Mid-Tier you specify a form to open and if you are not already logged the web server brings up the login page. Accessing the login page by itself does not help as the server does not know what to do after that. If you have the Home form defined in the Server Information you can go to it by: http://myserver.com/arsys/home Fred -----Original Message----- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>] On Behalf Of Brittain, Mark Sent: Tuesday, March 08, 2011 3:43 PM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: Mid-Tier error on login ** Hi All, I have hit on a strange one. When I attempt to log onto Remedy at the mid-tier (https://myserver.com/arsys/shared/login.jsp) I get the log on page, type in my username and password and press the login button. The result is ARERR [-1] Message not found. The mid-tier is up because I can pass XML requests through the mid-tier to the server. Can't find this in the Error Message Guide and I tried to find it on the BMC KB but no luck. Any ideas? ARS 6.3 patch 20 Oracle 9.2 SunOS 5.9.
