I added a few new columns to the overview console, but not entirely trouble free. If I added an existing field to the console I could sort the column without issue. If added a custom field to the console and tried to sort on the column a 311 error (Field ID is not related to this form) would be thrown. The data displayed without error-just could not sort. The sort problem was only in the web, the WUT had no issue. I never did find a solution for the problem. BMC was able to replicate the error but informed me that there was no solution and that it problem would not be addressed in the current version.
