Saji, 'All Patches' is a REALLY vague thing at this moment...are they talking about all Server Patches, Application Patches....and one question that I find questionable about that statement....I went from 7.5 directly to 8.1...so I'm not entirely sure how ANY patch in the 7.6 area affects it.....
on the other hand, I'm sure that they need a 'starting point' for the application upgrade...so, that may be the 'need', that they utilized the latest service pack as the upgrade path...but then you need to ask the question, what was the latest at the time the 8.1 installer was released...was it SP4, or SP5?
