Joe, Mine has the same processor and ram total. To keep it separate, I created a vm with Windows 7 Pro, and gave it the use of 4 of the cores and 8gb of the ram. I used the tomcat that comes with the mid-tier, and it all ran like a champ. I did limit the sql server to only use 1.5gb of the ram, and it worked without issues.
You don't need to set up a vm, I just did it to keep my remedy instance separate from other processes on the laptop. That way, it was only using the ram when I powered up the vm, rather than all the time. Hope this helps!
