those towns have always been "trouble fee" with minimal investor owned real estate. Larger homes which the towns kept a tight rein on code enforcement, rentals etc. Old time family homes. Allenhurst became the latest twn to be accepted by the Brooklyn crowd - loch arbor is slowly changing as well.
Belmar's was goal was to rid itself of the rowdy's - the one who came and spent money outside the home - on pizza, beer, chips etc - all local main street types. Belmar is/has become a 50/50 year-round/summer town. The o-front lots in belmar are now up to around 1.5+ Belmar playland was sold for around 2.5m. Pringle didn't want Mc'd on the BW. nor the mini-golf. With nothing to do with your kids at night - why the hell come?? I went to take a walk with my kids last night on the boardwalk in AP at 8:15. Got there - and I couldn't do it. To dark, no one on the BW let alone the streets. A cop car pulled up and into CH alleyway and into CH. So we walked the entire Allenhurst BW. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo! Groups.
