start by building a park on the west side.... that's maintained.
Shame they built two schools with little or no land - like grass for kids to
play on. While it wasn't popular in towns like long branch, when they rebuilt
the school complex, they took quite a few private homes with it to create green
space.
That's why rebuilding the Housing authority units makes sense - as long as
there is some kind of control.
Face it. For years it wasn't just the "west side" that had problems. It's
pretty well documented that some of the problems rested in those with some
power.
You need a corporate presence in town - back office ops or more. You need some
kind of partnership with the hospital and schools for a co-op program that
might get some kids right into a work study program. better that then the back
of an ambulance.
It might help a couple kids and or families.
