OK, this is a good idea. One area that could do with improvement would be the Observer functionality. It needs to be expanded and made more robust. We need the ability to delete observers, and we also need to re-implement "STUDY" functionality (see the PDF documentation) that was present in the Tcl/Tk GUI but is as yet absent from the PyGTK GUI. This would be a really useful addition. The current Plot-from-Observers functionality is also quite rudimentary and would benefit from some enhancement. http://ascendwiki.cheme.cmu.edu/Observers Other aspects of possible enhancement in the GUI include save/load of model state (useful when models are difficult to solve), printing/export of solution data.
