Dear Friends:
Thanks for your support. Our petition has been delivered to the Chief
Minister and the news media on the morning of January 2nd. We also
thank the eminent Assamese literary figures including four past Oxom
Xahitya Xobha presidents who offered their unqualified support for
our petition. More than 140 persons have signed the petition. The
response from the media is very positive and most of the Assamese
newspapers have have carried the news on the morning of Jan 3 in
their front pages.
