I used to know a manager in this industry who would say to questions like this 
"that's a two-part question."

"Why?" That's a question that philosophers have been asking for centuries. No 
one has a definitive answer.

"Do we use access registers?" That's easy. The answer is Yes.

Because it would damn-near impossible to reference data spaces and other
