With 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 (dev) out, I think it might make some sense to
distringuish between the two a bit more so that the unknowing user
doesn't mistakenly install a dev version.

Previously we had RC in the version numbers didn't we?  How about
puting "DEV" in the development version?

Also, we've got crazy numbering now.
2.0.2 0.0.03 is a lot to process visually.

How about something like this:

2.0.2 DEV Build 15
and for the public release
2.0.1 release 15

Then you could just increment the build number when changes are made.
No looking and trying to figure out if
2.0.2 0.0.03 is newer or older than
2.0.2 0.1.01 and whow that's different from
2.0.1 1.0.03

I just see numbers.

We'd have
2.0.2 DEV Build 15 which is clearly older than
2.0.2 DEV Build 14 and for the public release
2.0.1 Release 15

Make sense?
