You and I are on the same wavelength.  I put in a request to see if they 
are.  I know that certain types of DNS lookups (in Windows 2000+ AD 
environments anyways) will use UDP instead of TCP.  This very well could 
be the issue.  I haven't had a chance to research the particulars 
myself, but it sure seems a likely candidate at this point.
