there's no need to "archive" those directories and btw you shouldn't delete them; ASSP takes care of overwriting older files as needed and the resulting "base" is used to generate the spamdb, so leave those files/folders alone and let ASSP handle them; just ensure to run the rebuildspamdb at least once a day so that you'll always have a "current" spamdb > The second Problem I have is, that some times our users are > not able to send e-mails. Are you sure the above isn't caused by "greylisting" (delaying) ? If your clients are spread around on the internet, you should setup things so that, to send emails they will need to authenticate with the mailserver (through ASSP); in such a case a good idea would be using the "second listen port" for authenticated connections set up the port to 587 (smtp-submit) and have your clients setup their mail programs to use authenticated SMTP toward this port the above will also help sending email through "filtering ISPs" :) > Would this be a normal behavior that ASSP will not accept > any connection while cleaning the caches? not sure about this, never had such an issue but probably Fritz will be able to shed some lights on this particular question :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
