It's a feature freeze, as Fritz said.

Fritz added the db backed support and rather than waiting even longer 
for the db code to be tested and solidified in order to release a new 
version he split the code out, "tagged" 1.3.5, and continued onto 1.3.6.

Right now 1.3.5 is getting minor bug fixes, documentation is being 
worked on for the newer features, and parts of the GUI are being 
enhanced(you'll like the much improved file editor).

I think you would agree a well polished version is much better than a 
buggy release followed by many point releases.
