> I had this issue a month or so back, when jumping from version to > version to version using the same assp.cfg file
My problem is that this is a brand new install of 1.3.3.8 on a brand new machine. The assp install created its own assp.cfg (when I changed the first option in the web interface), so it shouldn't be a corrupted config (100% of configuration was done through the web interface). Server died off again today, and I did a little more testing. Telnet to ASSP server port 25 connects, but never sends a greeting or accepts commands. Telnet to the real mail server (a different host, in our case) on port 25 gives the greeting, so it's definitely on the ASSP server's end of things. Also, as previously mentioned, the web interface also hangs, I have to ssh into server to restart. Example below: $ telnet our.assp.relay 25 Trying 1.2.3.4... Connected to our.assp.relay. Escape character is '^]'. $ telnet actual.mail.server 25 Trying 4.3.2.1... Connected to actual.mail.server. Escape character is '^]'. 220 actual.mail.server ESMTP By connecting to this server, you agree to be relay tested by njabl.org. Should I get 1.3.5 instead of 1.3.3.8, or should I delete my assp.cfg and re-setup the server?
