Hello again people,
OK, here is a weird problem.
This is the same assp server that I updated the other day with the
help of Fritz and other kind people on this list.
Just to (try and) remind you, it was the "too many messages on the
/spam and /notspam" folders and "rebuildspamdb.pl process taking ages"
and the "convert subjects to numbers".
So, here is my problem :
The companys' director (yes ! It had to be the company directors'
e-mail box that has the problem, not another person :-% ), was
expecting two messages. One from a friend and another from another
big U.K. company. Both messages _seem_ to have passed through ASSP
with flying colours. However, they haven't reached his outlook 2007
mailbox. At first I suspected the [EMAIL PROTECTED] "spam" folder that outlook
2007 has installed by default and blocks whatever it deems as
suspicious mail.
However, the spam folder behaved and there was nothing there.
Nothing on the inbox folder though, either . I tried to hunt down
the messages but on the log page on ASSP here's the output for both :
---
Nov-23-08 17:26:55 ip.add.re.ss <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
message ok
FW_NAME_SURNAME_PASSPORT_DETAILS_FOR_THE_INVITA
---
and
---
Nov-18-08 16:50:01 ip.add.re.ss <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
message ok
Booking_ref_no_is_missing_inv_5101_AMB_
---
As you can see for yourselves, the message subject is being trunkated
(cut?) and I cannot find it anywhere in the /notspam directory.
Also, as I said above, I cannot find those same messages anywhere in the
outlook 2007 application.
Do you chaps have any ideas ?
Head chopping time is coming up tomorrow morning ! :-(
TIA,
.s
