I can only assume he was including the cost of the server hardware (which can
cost a bit depending on how many users you have), but that cost also applies to
any email server software chosen.
I agree on the Smartphone part...big plus! I also use ASSP and Exchange 2003
in my environment.

I use both ASSP and Exchange 2007 and both live in harmony. Exchange
didnt cost me $8000 either!! I paid $1000 for software and then $50 per user.
Cant beat it if you want to sync to Windows Mobile smarthphones.
Just my 50 cents worth :)
