If ASSP reports it as having passed (the chopping of the subject is normal afaik) and your MTA also says it was delivered, then it was delivered. Then I think http://www.catb.org/~esr/jargon/html/P/PEBKAC.html applies. Maybe he is wrong and he deleted it.
