Read it again... I said it was IRresponsible to NOT block port 25.

Obviously my above doesn't apply to someone paying for commercial
service and hosting their own servers... but it would also be
irresponsible for your ISP to not perform some kind of monitoring to
make sure you're not spewing spam in violation of their tos...
