Why don't you try using "spam.domain.tld" instead of "assp.local" :) ?

In such a case your email will be adressed to (example)

[email protected]

btw in such a case you'll have to revise the ASSP mail interface
configuration to correctly handle such requests... but *before* doing
so, please, ensure to perform a full message route tracking by
carefully looking at ALL the logs (exchange, assp, postfix)

Also, I can't understand why you may want to point "assp.local" to
ASSP in *postfix* if your email flow is as described, postfix should
NOT kick in AT ALL when it comes to the email interface and if it
does then something in your email flow isn't as described or may
even be wrong; use this

http://www.iworld.de/homes/fb/ASSP/067B0FE7-000F4555.1/22102007_122151_0.png

as a reference; in the above pic, the "SMTP relay" is postfix
while the "mailserver" is exchange; the remainder of the config
and the flow should be the same (btw the ports may change)
