If you are going to implement Asterisk you should ensure that you have
the sufficient level of expert help available to make the solution work.

Asterisk will certainly do the job for you but Asterisk is a complex bit
of software. It sounds like you have never deployed it before? If that
is the case and you do not have expert help your deployment will be very
very painful.

In your case I would recommend buying your solution from a vendor and
having them deploy it. No matter what solution you choose, any
moderately large deployment requires experienced people on-site to make
it work.

Asterisk does not have issues with PRIs. That is not a concern.

One other point; no matter what solution you choose I wouldn't buy it
from that company you have been dealing with. The sales person appears
to be far less than honest. If he (she?) is willing to tell you untrue
stories about how bad Asterisk is you can rest assured they are also
doing the same regarding their own product.
